NEW JERUSALEM

What We Believe

  • God: He is supreme creator and ruler of all things and has always existed in three persons: God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. All three persons are co-equals that are one God.                          Genesis 1:1/Matthew 3:16-17/John 17:16-17

  • Jesus Christ: He was God in fleshly form and both divine and human. Jesus lived a human, sinless life and in obedience, gave himself as a sacrifice on a cross for the sin of man for all time. He rose from the dead after three days displaying His power over sin and death. Jesus ascended into Heaven with the Father where He is in intercession for us. He will physically return for us someday and reign forever and His kingdom will have no end.                                                                                                 Acts 2:36/Ephesians 1:3-15/Luke 24:39-42/Acts 1:10-11/1Cor 12:51-53

  • Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is the third person of God that is not visible but manifests in the lives of believers through miracles, healing, spiritual gifts, speaking in different heavenly languages, and revelation of God's word. We believe the Holy Spirit gives power and spiritual gifts to believers in Christ that ask for it with the purpose of service and function in the church body. These gifts activate more love for Christ, the world and for those that are bound to sin. â€‹                                                          1 Corinthians12:1-31/Acts 1:4-8/John 7:37/Acts 4:8

  • The Bible: It is God's word to us, that is complete and without error. Written by human authors yet completely inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Bible is brimming with truth that is vital for directing our beliefs and lifestyle.                                                                                                                                              2 Timothy 3:16/Revelation 22:18-19

  • Salvation: Salvation is a gift given freely to us but we must choose to accept. We recieve salvation when we turn from our life of sin and confess faith in Jesus, realizing that no amount of good deeds could pay the penalty of our sin. By accepting Jesus' sacrifice for our sin we are made co-heirs with Him and have hope in enternal life with Jesus.                                                                                               Luke 24:47/John 3:8/Romans 4:1-5/John 5:24/Ephesians 2:8-10

Core Values

Living to Make God Famous: We are a church of believers that desire to glorify God through our worship, obedience to His word, service to those in and outside the church, spiritual development, outreach and discipleship. We strive to live our lives in a way that displays the awesomeness of God by honoring Him in every stage of our lives.

We Stand United: We stand firmly in upholding the unity of our church by acting in love toward our brothers and sisters in the faith and encouraging each other in our walk with Jesus Christ. We believe in accountability to one another and our leadership.

Hands that Serve: Jesus came to serve, not to be served and we follow His example. Our church is one that has a heart to serve each other, the families that make up our body, our visitors, our community and our nation. We believe in our God given gifts and talents being used to serve our church and reach the lost.
